Smith vs Rittich is no contest and easy to dismiss Smith based on stats all year. Wills has basically held that Rittich was not necessarily ready to assume the mantle and therefore defends playing Smith out of his slump to the point that everyone has enough confidence in Smith to fill in (at least temporarily) if Rittich falters. In that sense Wills has been proven correct.
