They could make the playoffs with a good homestand....if one of the umpteen teams ahead of them somehow lose to each other and collect 0 points while the Oilers run the table.

Not to mention the fact that they're 2-11-0 on home ice since mid-December. I wouldn't count on a good home stand being a thing, even with two of the games being against Arizona and Anaheim.
