Lets be real here...they aren't buying out Neal. Retaining salary in a trade is possible i guess but i don't see BT doing that just yet. Neal will be given another year to show that this one is the anomaly.
As for your bottom 6 forwards/7th D scenario...how are you managing that without trading away a bunch of players?

Someone else from the roster would have to be moved is the bottom line and that would denigrate the depth BT has worked so hard to accumulate. therefor i see no possible way Stone would be retained...life in a salary capped world.
