Gotcha. I can understand that approach for sure.
Just for the record, my deal isn't a sign and trade. Ottawa trades Stone, we then sign him. Agreement would be in place prior to the trade that Calgary would sign him. My assumption is that once Ottawa agrees to hear offers they allow the agent to discuss terms with interested teams.
