Tampa is also going to have to pay big for Brayden Point, who is an RFA after this season. As a player with two 60+ point seasons (including on pace for 104 this season), probably nothing less than $7 million/year. Then they are going to have a sizable group of UFA free agents that either need to be re-signed or let go to market. This also doesn't include small raises for Paquette and Erne, and the fact that both Gourde and Kucherov take sizable jumps in salary next year too.
Tampa is extremely good right now, but how long that is going to last? Who knows. There is a cost for playing so well.
