Relying on stats of cup winning goalies since 2004 gives you, what, 13 data points?

Also, need I remind you that ... it was in! :-)
It's 14, and the only thing I'd say to that is it's the most important data point. In my initial post I also looked at the cup final losing goalies...Martin Jones started 65, and a bunch of others in the 59-62 range.

If you want more data points, it isn't too hard to extrapolate: count every instance of a goalie starting more than 68 games, and I can tell you that zero of them made it to the cup finals.

Or the much longer list of goalies who started more than 62 games...I can tell you that exactly 1 of them won a cup and 1 other made it to the finals.

And I'll add, this doesn't necessarily indicate a relationship totally specific to the goaltenders' performances, but it may speak a bit to team composition and how capable they are playing in front of a backup more in the regular season. A team who needs to have the best goalie in net 70+ times probably needs everything to go right for them...subtracting any single piece (goalie or otherwise) is more likely to be de-rail them.
