I think there was a soft deal in place for talbot prior to the koskinen signing, but sine Chia has been relieved, that deal has gone up in smoke.
It's the only thing that really makes sense to me in terms of timing.
The Oilers were ready to anoint Kostin'em because they thought Talbot would be gone within days, but instead the league is now probably squeezing hard on the talbot valuation and the Oilers are between a rock and a hard place.
Guarantee the return for Talbot ends up being extremely low.
