I was expecting this to happen as soon as Vancouver got the 2010 games. There is no way that they would want two of the same facilities so close together. Vancouver's will be newer and better so I expect all the COP facilities to close down once Vancouver is ready. Too bad though.
Exactly. I said the same thing when Vancouver got 2010. I could see the Oval, COP, Bobsled, and the Nordic Center falling into disuse and getting the funding axe. I hear that Vancouver buried their Speed Skating Oval in Richmond rather than at SFU so hopefully the National team and the Center for Excellence in long track stays here! [/b][/quote]

Calgary's Oval and Bobsled are still top 2-3 in the world, they will still be in use for a long time.

I could see them taking down the towers and adding more area for skiing.

PS: I think the Big tower is to small for jumping now.
