Using cute little zero point whatever pounds per player stats doesn’t tell the whole story. We could have 20 Johnnys and 1 Reaves and still be “bigger” then a team with say 21 Jankowskis. It’s not even the size of a player. We need bulldogs. Guys like Bennett and Hamonic have shown they are willing to step up but I doubt any teams go into a game fearing either of those two. We carry dead weight like Prout and Peluso because having a guy who can play but is also known as a tough guy are ultra valuable. Look to the kind of contract Wilson got its because having someone who does both is a rarity.
Simmonds to me is someone I could see coming over and really reigniting the player he was. I don’t think he’s happy in Philly and I don’t think he’s be as expensive to acquire as some people think. He’s the kind of guy who can police the ice and he’s able to slot on any line on your team and not look out of place.

By cute numbers I presume you mean the stats... not actually my numbers: they are drawn from the teams and compiled in that Athletic article I linked.
Like I said, I was on board with Reaves when they offered him, so I am not against adding a guy like him.... however they didn't lose the games versus the caps because they were intimidated
