I'm not that hung up on corsi honestly, the more I look at things the more I see how it can be gamed. I also think the assumption of gaming the stats is way over done.
Take the best differential teams right now in the "good" category.
Eight teams in that quadrant.
Calgary, SJ and Vegas
Boston, Montreal, Tampa
Carolina
Nashville
None of those are crap teams.
Teams like Toronto, Pittsburgh, Colorado and Winnipeg create enough, but give up too much going the other way.
Sort of fits the eye test doesn't it?

Somewhat. Mostly, even.
But for me, good teams are probably going to end up with good possession stats. That is different than saying good possession stats probably means good team.
Nonetheless, all information is useful. And the effort you put into bringing all kinds of stats to the table is awesome and greatly appreciated.
I jump into these conversations a lot because the information is good - the bar has been raised. Those the are the conversations I want to join, even if my personal view is dissenting.
