Looking back in history, we gave up Hull who turns to be pretty damn good. Betcha at the time, people wouldn't know if he'll turn out good or not. But we won the cup so everything was ok.
Oh another player management thought was "fringe" NHLer and cut loose who went to TB and turned out pretty damn good as well.

Simply not true. Fletcher acknowledged multiple times that the Flames knew Hull was going to be something special...and in my opinion, much more special than Dube will ever be.
Don't you think winning the Cup is special? Like isn't winning the Cup as special as it gets in the NHL?
