Fair point- my only counter argument to that would be why would a team that is expected to have a good chance to sign him this summer overpay for him now? Teams like NYR, LA, Chicago, etc. I guess it is possible that a team like Vegas or SJ could target him as well.
I should also point out I'm just speculating from the latest Lebrun article in the Athletic where he thinks it is likely that Jarmo decides to move him.
