It sounds like Panarin will be officially on the trade market come deadline time. That could be a game changer to get this team over the hump and into that sure fire "contender" category.

Granted, he would be a pure rental as I can't see him resigning in Calgary, but if the price was right would you make that move to give the Flames an extra boost come playoff time? Might be worth it if we could include Frolik in the deal because A) he does have value and can help Columbus and B) might need to be moved this off season anyways to make room for a new Tkachuk contract.

Maybe something like 1st, Frolik and Kylington? Too much? Too little? I'm also unsure how much Treliving wants to mess with the chemistry of this team. Panarin could anchor our #2 PP.

Tkachuk Backlund Bennett
Panarin Jankowski Neal
Hathaway Ryan Mangiapane

I know, I know it's a waste of assets to use Panarin on the third line, but I'm sure Peter's could come up with a combination that could work and evenly spread the line up out.
