Louis CK was right at the height of his career, and definitely lost out on 10s of millions.
His movie I Love You, Daddy was also dropped just prior to release. Netflix cancelled an upcoming comedy special. CK was cut from the Secret Life of Pets 2. The FX network cut all ties. TBS also scrapped his planed TV series.
He ended up, in total, losing 2 regular TV programs, the ability to debut his movie, losing out on a lucrative Netflix special, and being dropped from the Secret Life of Pets 2 (the first movie made almost $900 million).
I'm not going to comment on whether this was enough punishment. However, from a financial point of view this was huge. CK was literally on the very verge of monetizing his fame and collecting on many fat paycheques.
