Pretty much this. If I am doing a day trip to Sunshine, the last thing I am going to do as add another hour or 2 to my day by taking a bus... That would likely be more expensive anyway (if from Calgary). Same if we are commuting from my parents place in Canmore. You still don't want to waste the extra time on a bus even if it is free.
