I have never been a fan of John Shannon. To me, he comes across as an arrogant blowhard. I don’t really understand how he’s managed to get his platform as an on air personality. I guess because he worked for Bettman for a few years at the NHL after being HNIC’s executive producer, and now he is just a water carrier for every ownership group on Sportsnet.
I remember him pumping the oversimplified argument last year about why he can’t see why Calgary can’t just give the Flames the same arena deal the Oilers received.
He’s a hollowed out bonehead who speaks just to hear himself.
