I just cannot see Valimaki being moved with his perceived high ceiling, which would make Kylington the prime candidate. Showcasing him through the rest of the season and playoffs could bump up his trade value massively.

I'd hate to lose Kylington, but I just don't see where he fits in, unless he or Valimaki can switch sides.
I know the organization is really high on Hanifin, but I wonder if they might consider trading him before the expansion draft because: 1) he has the highest cap hit of the 3 young defense on the left side; 2) protection issues directly relating to the expansion draft; and 3) because he could bring a huge return of young assets that won't need to be protected in the expansion draft.

Or they could just keep all 3 and move Gio over to the right for the last few years of his contract and as his game deteriorates. Eventually Gio moves down to the 3rd pairing right side with Hamonic and Andersson ahead of him and Brodie gone as a UFA. Gio's hands might go in the next few years, but I think he could still be an effective defensive guy on a 3rd pairing as he ages, he's that good.
