It's all happening. Chiarelli will be hired. Lowe will be fired. Babcock will come and MacT will run.

McDavid might be the best thing to happen to the Oilers in two+ decades, especially if his arrival brings the Old Boys Club to an end. Crazy what one player's presence can do.

If this does happen, this is the best offseason the Oilers have had in forever. Plus it would be funny because we got ripped on for having such bad management (which we do) when we won the Mcdavid sweepstakes. All this talk about how we cant develop, will ruin him etc. so if Lowe and Mact are gone, HFs reaction would be priceless.

I love that Nicholson isn't wasting time. McLellan contacted already and now Chia in Edmonton.

I think people are biased against Chiarelli for the Seguin trade, and the Iginla deal. He doesn't appear to be as bad as he's made out to be.

He'll probably have success if he's hired. That doesn't change the fact he ****ed us over after the cup by patching the roster with useless AHL players like Pouliot, Corvo, Rolston, Mottau, Daugavins, Potter, Hennessy, Meszaros, Chris Bourque, Pandolfo, Talbot, Robins, Gagne. Overpaid by at least 50 % many guys he extended like Campbell, Kelly, Smith.

They'll just have to fire him before he sends the team into perpetual cap hell.
