If you look at the Coyotes first round picks over the last decade you would see they are probably better off with Matthews than any four year run of 1st round picks. They did get Keller and Chychrun in successive seasons but after that a lot of the players are no longer in the organization including Domi, Strome, Perlini, etc. They absolutely should be preparing an offer sheet.
