The Oilers got a "generational" player in McDavid but have immersed him into a "generational" mess of an organization, that is still going to take years to sort itself out.
If they do start to sort it out, (a big "if" by the way) it will be when McDavid will be booking himself a one way ticket out of Greaserville.
