If the Coyotes did that offer sheet I think the Leafs would take the four 1sts.
If the Leafs match that offer they can pretty much kiss Marner goodbye because they could not afford him. Does Matthews make Arizona a SC contender? I don't think he moves the needle that much. So you get 4 1sts that are either mid 1sts or lottery picks, you can easily sign Marner, and you still have JT and Kadri up the middle. Matthews is a great player, no doubt, but with the pieces they would still have adding 4 1st rnd picks would make that teams success carry a lot longer most likely.
