I was watching the game Saturday at the pub with a group of friends so might have this quote a bit off, but it was shown on the screen as something like:

It is certainly true that the Coilers can't play "the Flames game" as the Flames' game is ice hockey: fast, skilled, good defence, solid depth throughout the lineup, team chemistry and a strong work ethic.
But what is "the Oilers' game"? Really bad hockey? Slew footing guys then running away like a frightened kindergartner? Punching guys when the linesmen already has them tied up, or sucker punching them? Acting fake tough then getting blown out? I suppose it is true... the Flames don't play "Oilers hockey"... but then... who'd want to?
"Oilers hockey" is not winning hockey, but drafting high year after year to ruin those picks. "Oilers hockey" is icing a cap team that isn't .500. "Oilers hockey" is being the joke of the league, year after year after year.
Good luck with that. I'm quite happy the Flames will stick to their own brand of hockey.
