I'm actually amazed at how much water the pundits are willing to carry for the league after the farce last night. I heard a whole panel talking about substantive points ("red zone defence") as the key to the Rams winning, I heard another panel breeze past the PI call in 30 seconds to go on to talk about the play call on first for 10 minutes. No one appears willing to talk about the fact that the Rams should not be in the Super Bowl. And aside from some hand waving at the coin toss, same deal on the other end - all talk about how great Tom Brady is. What the heck was that roughing the passer call? It's like a big machine designed to never dwell for more than a few moments on any flaw with the league before trying to distract you with something else.
I'm not a conspiracy theorist but I'm actually sort of tempted to jump on Senator's bandwagon. Sort of. I won't, but they're really not making it easy.
