So this is going to be my new hobby going forward. Professionally done it’s not going to be cheap but you will get an app for it. Trimlight.com seemed like the best service I could find for professional installation.
If you are interested at all in electronics and DIY there is a significant Christmas light community that you can tap into for installation ideas. I am going the route of using ws2811 from a China distributed. I’m going to use round pixel nodes that will be drilling into j channel to add to my roof line. I’m not sure on the app control as of yet but I will be using a specialty control board that is connected to a rasp pi to run programmed sequences. I believe once you make the sequences you can use phone app to trigger.
