2018: Bouchard
2017: Yamamoto
2016: Puljujarvi
2015: McDavid
2014: Draisaitl
2013: Nurse
2012: Yakupov
2011: RNH
2010: Hall
2009: Pajaarvi

Over the last 10 years they have used 8/10 first round picks on forwards. Of those 8 first round picks, 4 were 1st overall picks used on forwards, and 7 of them were forwards taken in the top 10.

Even with all that being considered they are still looking for forwards (and defense) for that matter. It's crazy.

What non-playoff team has forwards they would be willing to move?

Philly: Voracek...maybe they try to get out of the rest of that contract.
Ottawa: Stone and Duchene...I'd hate for Stone to be up in Edmonton.
Detroit: Nyquist...Probably not high profile enough for Chiarelli.
Rangers: Hayes, Zibanejad, Kreider...could see something done here.
Blackhawks: Saad, Anisimov...maybe Hawks cut some cap.

Will be interesting to see what desperation move they make here.
