Also...by the time the PO roll around its likely the club will have some injuries to deal with and there could be spots open for all mentioned thus far.
He may not be the optimal option, but he's certainly one option.
Would Stone for Brassard work for both clubs assuming Stone is back and playing by the end of Feb?
Or is Stone the exact depth guy you want going into a playoff run you think you should go somewhat deep in?

I don't think it is any surprise Francis has broken news in the last week on two guys the flames will be shopping come deadline.
Let's be real about stone here: he isn't out because of the blood clot, he's out of the lineup because he is not regularly one of the top 6 defenders in the organization. Kylington is in to cover valimakis injury, not stones.
If you get an opportunity to move stones cap hit next year, you do it.
He is likely the teams 8th best defender next season. Making 3.5.
Time for a trade.
