With the way the Flames are scoring, and how the Avs like giving up a lot of goals....82-4 for the Flames. All four goals coming from, or assisted by the 1st line.

I think they stand a chance to win if they don't let Sam Bennett unravel them for the third time.

Unlike flames, an avalanche can't be stopped by a little water
However, it can be stopped by a lack of secondary scoring, discipline, a top line slump, and goalie struggles.

Just got home from work and going to watch hopefully an Avs win against a very good Flames team. Hope we don’t ####ing start slow as we’ve done this past month.

Going to be another L, horrible slump playing back to back games against two teams that has our numbers. The Flames always find a way to win against us no matter what, bad things just happens…inspire no confident in a win at all.

Always have my k-drama if we’re down 2-3 goals early again. Haha...

This is going to be a bloodbath. As much as it pains me to say this, I think the Flames are the 2nd best team in hockey after Tampa Bay.

The Highest Scoring Line in the League vs 3M

At one end the Avs goalies can't stop anything. At the other end MacKinnon, Rantanen, and Landeskog couldn't score on a 3-on-1.

We can't even score on a 3 on 1 with the goalie on his back....

Even the top line is sketchy now. Act like you've ******* played the game before! You look like Pee Wee kids that have no experience handling the puck.

Jesus. How in the hell did the big line not score on that 3 on 1 pretty much. That's just not going to cut it.

Backlund line continues to make things very tough on the Avs top line.

I'm sorry. Crazy deflection or not, so ****ing bad. At this point I wouldn't be opposed to waiving both of these **** goalies.

The thing is.... that was a brutal deflection but Varly did literally nothing to react or anything. Just kind of stood there even for the initial shot.

It certainly was a bad bounce, but Varly was in a bad position. It would be one thing if he had been solid before, but that was a bad goal to give up. Sadly... not much else to do at goalie right now... Frank will get his shot soon at this pace.

Here I am again. Watching the 3rd period of the Flames game with my wife (who's a Flames fan) Flames getting out shot badly but have a 4-2 lead. Is this team that lucky?. It's so annoying.

Oh no, the Flames lost the lead. How will they get themselves out of this jam?

Avs losing is good for the Oilers.

The Flames are 100 times the team the Oilers are.

Depends on what you define as luck, I suppose. If you consider good coaching, clutch offence, solid defense, good PP, good PK, good character in players & management, good scouting department, good contracts to fit in other key players as luck, then i suppose they are lucky.

So the Flames have been first in the West for a bit now, but its somehow its due to luck? If the Jets, Preds, Knights, Sharks are first in the West, its because they are a well-run organization, but not if its the Flames? Does that even make sense?

Watch the way they play compared to the Oilers. They create high danger chances and capitalize on them. Solid goaltending, sound positionally in the defensive zone and always battling.

The Oilers look like a beer league team in comparison. Partly to do with talent but also in part due to work ethic.
