It is difficult to compare eras so my criteria for ranking all time Flames forwards is how many times they led the team in points. This measures who the best player was for the longest amount of time.

Looking at Flames points leaders every season there are 4 names that pop out: Iginla (12), Fleury (7), Nilsson (4), and Gaudreau (4*). This puts Gaudreau on par with Nilsson and on his was to passing Fleury. He even has a chance to catch Iginla if he re-signs.

I think this even sells Gaudreau's talent a bit short though and predict at the end of his career we will instead be asking where he ranks on the list of all time greatest players to ever wear a Flames jersey. A list including Jagr, Hull, Gilmour and Iginla.
