Flames Last Year/This Year

Inspired by that Reddit meme someone posted (which is basically my first point below), here are some of the differences between last year and this year for me:

Last Year: After every game, I looked at the Wild Card standings.
This Year: After every game, I look at the League-wide standings.

Last Year: I didn't watch every game (and occasionally fell asleep during the games I did watch.)
This Year: Every game is "must see TV" (and I strongly believe games aren't over until the final buzzer, even if we're down by a goal or even two!)

Last Year: I kept looking for players to blame for the Flames' woes.
This Year: I don't even mind James Neal's struggles that much as long as we're winning.

Last Year: I couldn't believe our coach was so set in his ways in terms of player assignments and refusing to shake things up.
This Year: I can't believe our coach is so responsive to the ebb and flow of the games and which players deserve rewards.

Last Year: Johnny Gaudreau was our best player by far.
This Year: We have half a dozen players that could claim the mantle of our best player at any time.

Last Year: E=NG
This Year: E= ENG (Extremely No Good!)
