That was a masterful game plan on Clemson's part, especially on defence. Tua looked confused all night and could never get going. Bama scored a total of three points on their last four trips to the red zone - that is impressive.
I have been gaining respect for Dabo Swinney the past few seasons, listening to him each week on radio and his track record now what it is the guy is the real deal. He's now beat Alabama and Nick Saban 2 out of the past 3 national championship games and is nine years younger than Saban was when he won his second championship. I'm not a huge Bama fan but I do have grudging respect for Nick Saban - the guy knows how to get it done and doesn't get beat often let alone like they got beat last night.
Clemson looks real good and they aren't losing many of their offensive weapons next year - heck their QB and arguably best receiver are freshmen. I don't see how they aren't back next season. And Bama just reloads every year and now they will be motivated. I think we see both teams back at least in the final four again next season. That was Tua's first loss as a starting QB since something like grade nine.
