I think Gaudreau has a chance to be #1 depending on what he does in the playoffs. If he scores 100 points or becomes a Hart candidate at any point in his career, then he should theoretically be on the same level as Iggy. If Gaudreau can lead this team to multiple playoff series victories, then I'd say that could help maybe push him over as Iggy only took this team past the 1st round only once in his entire tenure with the Flames. Obviously, Johnny has a long way to go to catch Iggy's career here, but I'm mostly speaking in terms of peaks.

Fleury also had an unbelievable stretch here as well. An perennial all star and a couple top 10 scoring finishes. But he was never nominated for the Hart, never won any major awards and didn't help carry the Flames to any playoff series victories when he was "The Guy" here. with the way Gaudreau is going now, I'd say it's very likely he eclipses Fleury's peak.

Nilsson was quite possibly just as skilled or maybe more skilled as Gaudreau (at the time/era), but I'm not his tenure here was long enough to justify him being above Gaudreau when it's all said and done. I'd say Gaudreau is also on the cusp of passing him depending on how his season finishes, how the voting goes and how the Flames do in the playoffs.
