Treliving says stuff like this a lot, and for a long time was the brunt of good-natured ribbing about “The Process,” but there is a crucial reason he continues to repeat himself. He is playing the long game. Fans live in the moment, but he can not afford to.
It is good to remember that from time to time. Especially in moments when a player is wildly exceeding or failing to meet expectations.
