He's 10th in five on five play, 10th. That's the fourth line. That's the only thing as obvious as the nose on Tim Hunter's face.
Derek Ryan is 9th in powerplay time on the team, towards the bottom of unit number two.
He wins face offs and shoots rights which is a stated desire for Peters/Ward on the powerplay. If you can get Jankowski or Frolik to shoot the other way the rest of the season you may be able to change that.

Skating hard and throwing a check does not mean he should be on a line that is counted on to produce! As the production stats have shown, Frolik is better on the second line than Bennett. Sam is a great energy player, but that is all he is. It is time to accept that. And if you're suggesting Jankowski has been inconsistent, WTF type of defense do you have for Bennett in any shape or form. Bennett is inconsistent shift-to-shift. The only consistency Bennett has shown is an ability to miss glorious scoring opportunities in tight, or get called for goaltender interference. A guy that gets so many opportunities continues to fail so hard it is painful to watch. I mean, I hope he goes out and scores a hat trick today, but I'm also hopeful that the GOP finally comes around and finds some spine to do the right thing for my country. I know both are highly unlikely, and for that, neither have EARNED much confidence from me to believe either are possible.

So funny that your little diatribe of "facts" that are actually just your observations and nothing more came on the day that Bennett fed Tkachuk with a great pass for the tying goal.
Counting stats are useful information. Hopefully by the time you get comfortable with them they will have advanced a little more and provide even better information.
Goals are the bottom line, I'll never disagree, but to ignore what's happening when the puck doesn't go in the net (the other 59.5 minutes of the game) seems pretty silly to me.
And what's really funny? I'm not defending Bennett and haven't been in any way in this or the other current discussion. I'm saying there isn't a great option and because of that I can see why Peters is moving Frolik and Bennett in and out of that slot.
Not sure why the two players being interchangeable has you so hot under the collar.
Jankowski is a tire fire in his own zone. I've been saying for a few weeks that they should look at another player covering his defensive responsibilities at center when they are behind their own blueline.
