For reference for cost: last year at the deadline, with Elliott / Neuvirth hurt, flyers traded a conditional 3rd + conditional 4th for Mrazek. Mrazek was making 4M set to be an RFA that Philly and Detroit had no intention to qualify at that price. Detroit retained 50% salary.

I can't see any career backups costing much.
