I'm just saying there are a handful of posters that I believe do cheer against the guy every time he plays. They're hoping he fails so they can post over and over again how much he sucks or how much they dislike him. It makes the GTs very toxic.

It would be shocking to see anything different. The script has repeated itself “ad nauseam “, some posters looking for anything and / or everything to blame on Smith.
Has his play been up to par and met expectations for many games this season?
Absolutely not.
Has he had far fewer games when he was up to snuff and less than a handful where he was good ?
Absolutely.
Is there still time for him to turn it around?
I believe there is.
Will he?
I sure hope so. Why would you hope anything different as long as he is a player on the Flames?
The preconceived rhetoric and flat out toxicity that some have perpetuated in the GTs towards Smith is cynical and often cringe worthy.
Of course , in my opinion.
