Disappointing hearing that from his agent - I hope it is just his agent spewing nonsense as his agent is known to do. Frolik can't be happy with how he is utilized this season, but he seems to be a consummate team player, and I don't think he would say much to rock the boat... but we don't know anything really.
As for the situation, I do think that Frolik in the lineup makes the Calgary Flames better. He is fast, and he is one of the best players on the forecheck and on the PK. He doesn't have much of a shot, and he isn't much of a playmaker, but he is a good depth role player that seems to make the players he is with better. Plus, can anyone really say they have ever seen Frolik dogging it? I can't. He might be the consistently highest-working player on the Flames.
In a perfect world, the Flames manage to trade him to another team for tangible assets. I can imagine that this puts quite a strain on the relationship with the coach, but who knows... maybe they have already talked about it and it is water under the bridge already. Will be interesting to see what happens - nothing? Increased playing time? Trade? Either way, Frolik has been a good soldier for the Flames from the onset.
