Caggiula had heart and effort. He was serviceable when called up to play in the top-6 due to necessity. He hits like a ####ing truck despite his small frame.

Brandon ####ing Manning is a fringe NHLer at best, better than precisely no one on our current D roster, and most importantly, was the piece of #### waste of skin who broke McDavid’s collarbone and ruined his rookie season.

I'm sorry, but Brandon "breaker of collarbones" Manning is not "Defense". Even with Chicago's lackluster defense, he was not a fit under Colition's system. He'll get some use by Hitch, who like Q loves the physical vets, but don't expect him to do much for your defense.

He's more likely to have an own goal than stop a goal.

Manning is costly and not a major upgrade over garrison at all... Not to mention the locker room issues this could cause
