It's actually pretty delicious in how this went down. They started winning under Hitchcock and quickly everyone in Edmonton got on the bandwagon, but if you looked at how they were playing it was all on a goaltender.
In the 17 games under Hitchcock the Oilers have only generated more high danger scoring chances five on five than their opponent three times.
Three times!
That's not a turnaround, it's being carried by a goatlender without a resume.
