The old food court at Southcentre was great. It was like a dimly lit labyrinth. Downed many mini-pizzas and root beer floats at that place.
Video and Sound had such a vast collection it was worth a trip downtown on the C-Train to visit. So many obscure genre movies that would be almost impossible to find today.

Psychedelic Thursdays at Malarkey's for the win. It was one of many bars in the economically depressed late 80s to offer 2 for 1 or 3 for 1 drink specials one night a week. In university, our social calendar was built around which bar on a given night had x for 1 drink specials. Fox & Firkin one night, the Republic the next, Malarkey's the next...
