Also, if you look up "hire" they say it has one syllable, but "higher" has two... I pronounce both of those words exactly the same.
It also has "flour" as one but "flower" as two. Again, two words that I pronounce the same.
I'm starting to think that I don't know what a syllable is.

Funny enough, instead of a word like ‘kite’, they use ‘fire’ as the sample for silent vowels not counting
