Both guys throw the gloves at the same time, Oleksiak decides the first punch is more important than getting set. Wilson gets set over the first punch. Simply a 50/50 on who made the right decision and in this case it was Wilson.
People saying he was jumped? Both were well aware they were fighting shown by gloves off at the same time, Oleksiak throwing first punch and the previous history which would indicate they were going to fight.
People saying Wilson is trash? He has had some brutal plays and I think the league is on him and will punish him accordingly. I actually thought that small clip should have been a suspension but for the sake of this situation...nothing trashy about it.

If you see it that way then I understand your take, I just view it as Oleksiak not having enough time to prepare for a fight while Wilson is bracing for the fight the entire time. It just doesn’t look good in my eyes and is something I hate seeing. I did not know these two guys had a history but even then I’d say challenge him in a better way than just rushing him. Not a fan of that
