TO is gonna be in a very sticky situation here, I think the Tavares signing might come back to but them in the butt. If Matthews is 12.5, what is Marner? 10? Kappanen? 5? There defense is still below average too and that's if they can get Gardner done, who is probably going to want 6+. If they can't keep him, they are worse then Edmonton D wise.

I didn't say that Toronto was going to accept it. Shanahan has already come out and said that players are going to have to take discounts so the team can be competitive.
It is going to be an interesting negotiation.
