Sometimes AHL play doesn't really reflect what's going to happen in the NHL either. Rask had pretty average numbers in the AHL and his NHL numbers were immediately better once he made a full time jump into the NHL. Rinne had a .908 in the AHL the year before his main callup, after which he was posting .917, .911 and .930 in the NHL.
