Yeah, and when Gaudreau becomes a UFA before his 29th birthday Monahan and Lindholm will be 27, Tkachuk will be 24, and the Flames will have three or maybe even four top-four defensemen all under the age of 25. I think you are missing the point, which is that there is not some obvious magic number for this particular group to meet their full potential—at least, not yet. Like I said, there is more than just one way to do this.
