The issue with cars as a hobby is that it's an absolute money pit. If you go the classic route, you get cheap insurance from Hagerty but repairs and maintenance can add up (even if you do a bunch yourself). If you don't, you're obviously paying for insurance, gas, potentially storage... Obviously I speak from experience. It's worth it, in my opinion, but unless you're totally into cars it probably wouldn't be.
