It wasn't interference, blind side hit or charging. It looks like first point of contact was the head, but was it the primary point of contact? It was quite unnecessary with 1 minute left in the game. But was it illegal and suspend-able? I think it is...
1) Is backlund eligible to be hit? Yes - he has the puck
2) Could Dumba have take a different path? Probably not - so not a factor in suspension.
3) Was the hit avoidable? Sort of - to the extent any hit is avoidable. So not enough to warrant suspension on its own
4) Was the hit high? a little, but not enough to warrant a suspension of its own.
5) Was the head the first point of contact? Yes - so maybe 1-2 games of suspension.
6) Was the head the primary point of conduct? The more I watch the hit, the more I think it was...and thats the one that seals it for me. Could be a very lengthy suspension
