That rivalry will be dead in 20 years if it's not already.
And I would argue that in order to form a rivalry, teams have to either:
1) Be in the same division and play each other regularly
2) Constantly meet in the playoffs, or
3) Be in the same province or state.
I live exactly between Nashville and Columbus. People in these fan bases hardly enough know that the other team exists, despite the physical proximity. And these teams were in the same division for most of their history.
