in addition his previous 2 seasons, he was about a point a game player... ie when the flames traded him
the question is whether this year was simply a hot start versus lesser competition, or whether this is an uptick that is part of his development curve.
At the end of the day, no one will know until a) he signs with Carolina and b) he's playing in the NHL.
Based on NHLe, the kid looks to be about a 45-50 point player in the NHL if his game carries over and this year isn't an aberration... a very good player, but not something the flames can't overcome considering their depth with young defensemen.
