I am ok with Smith starting again today, because he won his last game, and I believe it should be "Win and your In" anyways. Neither goalie is a true #1 NHL goalie, rittich doesn't have a big enough sample size, and Smith is playing like a timbits goalie.

Rittich is not a true #1 (yet) , and Smith's career is coming to a close, but we NEED both goalies to play well in the long term this season.

Goaltending has been the story for the Flames all year, many think the Flames would be even higher in the standings, if they got even average goaltending.

The Flames don't need spectacular goaltending to win games, they just can't have the soft ones go in regularly, as they have been all year for Smith, and even Rittich vs Dallas.

No doubt Rittich has outplayed Smith, but the Flames do need Smith to get out of this Funk, and he is trending in that direction which is good to see.

Hopefully both goalies play well consistently, and the Win and your In attitude plays out in the Flames favour. Winning every 6 or 7 game out of 10 the rest of the way would be amazing.

Im rooting for Smith to play well, as he has been embarrassingly bad this season.
