Problem is that the landscape has changed the summer McDavid and Draisaitl signed. Players signed before that time don't make good comparibles, at least in the players and agent's eyes. Add to that Nylander is 4th in the pecking order there and everyone knows it. If push comes to shove they won't think twice to jettison him out of there.
